Saint Mary’s University is a major sponsor of STEMFest 2018, which is taking place at the Halifax Convention Centre on November 3 – 10.

Chaired by Dr. Steven Smith, Associate VP, Enrolment Management, and Registrar (Acting), STEMFest is a collection of conferences and events exploring various themes in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and innovation.

There are many public events of interest to faculty, staff, and students, including a science communication workshop for university students;  a screening of the film “Dream Big: Engineering our World;” and a “Science Slam,” co-organized by Saint Mary’s MSc in Applied Science candidates Amy Heim and Molly Leblanc.

The university will also present the 4th Dan MacLennan Memorial Lecture in Astronomy as part of STEMFest 2018.
