Tetanus vaccinations

Most people have their last Tetanus vaccination somewhere between 14 and 16.  As immunity declines over time, booster shots are recommended every 10 years.  Tetanus (lockjaw) occurs worldwide but is rare in Canada because of immunization against this infection. Tetanus rarely occurs in fully vaccinated people and, if it does, it is usually mild.  Tetanus shots are also available at the Student Health Centre for all employees.
